Tin Can Barometer

Here’s a plan for a simple plan for a tin can Barometer made from a beer or soda can and a soup can. Looks like a fun way to demonstrate the principles of barometric pressure and its relationship to weather and altitude.

I’m glad you enjoyed the barometer project! We’ve got lots of other scout-friendly projects on Instructables: I’d suggest how to Make your own Thermometer; Shake it like a Tic-Tac!, a rechargeable magnet-powered LED flashlight; an Improvised Compass; and a Backpacking stove from aluminum flashing to start; there are many more neat projects on the site.
