Keeping it Real
When Pat approaches the teacher and says “John hit me!” the teacher talks to John and sends Pat to play with Bill.
Later Pat returns to the teacher and says “Bill hit me!”. Now the teacher had better talk to Pat. When difficulties pile on, when it seems that the world is treating us unfairly, that everyone is against us it may be that we are the source of our problems. Most of us can lose sight of our own perspective or proportion. It is when we are most sure of the righteousness of our cause, the purity of our actions we most need a friend who will speak plainly.
