I hope you had a great summer…
The picture for this week’s podcast is one of my favorite campsites on Proulx lake in Ontario Canada’s Algonquin Provincial Park. We took twenty people in three crews this year and had a great time.
I am glad to be back, and this week I’ll answer some of the email questions you have sent over the break. In 30+ years as a Scouter I have been through difficult situations. Some still cause me discomfort when I think about them and I wonder if I could have handled them better. In this podcast I’ll answer an email about the decision making process in a bad situation.
Another email asks about mock, or practice, boards of review, and that’s an easy answer from the guide to advancement. And I’ll wind things up by answering this question: “What tips do you have for a Scoutmaster who is new to the idea of having an active 18-20 year old in an Assistant Scoutmaster role?”
