Scouter Hugh McVeigh in Germantown Tennessee has designed a handsome, functional variation called the Kamp Kitchen. He first built them with his sons (both Eagle Scouts) and has built around 100 to date including some for the 1993 National Jamboree.

Hugh has also designed a plywood camp chair that uses a third of a sheet of plywood, plans available by emailing Hugh.
